Stable production frees up resources for other tasks

Using the powerful and stable M&J 4000S as part of a largely automated waste treatment line has helped Geocycle improve their working environment and free up resources to handle other tasks.

Geocycle had very specific requirements and expectations of what their new pre-shredder should be able to accomplish. The input material is baled pre-RDF, made from a mix of MSW (70%) and Industrial Waste (30%) – a challenging fraction that in itself requires a special breed of pre-shredder.

Add to that Geocycle’s towering ambitions for capacity, and the field only narrows further. The choice fell on the powerful and stable M&J PreShred 4000S with 10 knives. A solution that efficiently shreds up to 35 tonnes per hour of the unpredictable and uneven fractions that the company receives every day.

The pre-shredder has long since met all KPIs – in terms of capacity, in terms of maintenance costs and in terms of end-product quality. The latter has had a major impact on the calorific value of the RDF in the kilns that ensure efficient cement production.

Boost to the working environment

Performance is always a crucial parameter when evaluating an investment. While it is of course important that the machine performs as expected, it is equally important that it does so without issue, day after day, year after year.

With M&J Recycling’s worldwide service network, help is always at hand, as soon as it’s needed. Specially trained technicians also make ongoing maintenance easy and simple, keeping downtime to a minimum.

Another advantage of the M&J PreShred 4000S is that it requires minimal operation, as the processes are largely automated as soon as the machine is switched on. This has created a much better working environment for Geocycle employees and, not least, freed up resources to handle other tasks.

“We value stability, so having a reliable and local service team means a lot to us.”

– Michał Nikiel, Platform Manager at Geocycle, Poland
