50 year anniversary

At M&J Recycling, we are incredibly proud to be able to celebrate our colleague, Robert Heindorf Pedersen, who has now been part of the company for 50 years. It is a remarkable milestone, and we would like to thank Robert for his engagement, effort, and loyalty over the years.

A lot has happened at M&J since Robert started, which his career reflects. He has contributed to several departments, he has traveled the world, and had many experiences along the way:

"I have experienced great changes in the company during my time at M&J. My tasks have continually changed, and I have had many fun experiences around the world. It's been good, and I've always been satisfied with my work, " says Robert, who will be saying goodbye to his colleagues at Vejlevej in Horsens in a few months and starting his next chapter: a well-deserved retirement.

Robert's 50 years in the company

Robert started in 1974 when the company was still called Møller & Jochumsen and manufactured sugar machines.

He was apprenticed and worked as a blacksmith in our then Vejle branch. For 10-12 years, he worked with assembly and helped set up machines all over the world.

The job entailed a lot of travel in the Nordics, Europe, and Asia. Once, Robert spent almost two years in Vietnam while a new factory was being built.

When the Vejle branch closed, Robert became a part of the maintenance department at the headquarters in Horsens, where he was responsible for maintaining the company's machinery and buildings.

Where he had previously been traveling a lot, his new job meant working close to home – something that fit well with him becoming a dad around the same time.

Seven years ago, Robert transferred to the warehouse and became part of the stock delivery team. He has been there ever since, and it will be the last leg of his M&J journey, as Robert will be starting his well-deserved retirement this spring.

We thank Robert for the many years of faithful service, and we will enjoy the remaining time he is part of team M&J.
