We are honoured and proud to announce that we have won the DIRA Automation Award 2025.
Last night at the HI trade fair in Herning, the award was presented, and M&J Recycling was announced as the winner for our welding robot. The jury had no doubts, stating that M&J Recycling represents something truly unique among Danish industrial companies. The jury further explained that with roots as a traditional machine factory, M&J Recycling had, in just a few years, carried out a digital transformation – not only embracing automation, but also implementing advanced, data-driven process management and digitalization at a level the jury has rarely seen before.
“It’s incredibly impressive what they have achieved, and their level of ambition is enormous. They go that extra mile beyond most others. M&J Recycling has digitalized and scaled production far more than one would have expected necessary – and the results speak for themselves. They went above and beyond, and the outcome is remarkable,” the jury said.
At the heart of the achievement is our advanced, fully automated welding system, developed together with Yaskawa. It combines precision handling, induction heating, vision technology, and adaptive laser measurement to ensure that every welded shaft – the core component of our industrial shredders – meets the highest standards with almost no errors or rework.
This innovation has not only boosted efficiency and improved the work environment, it has also created direct benefits for our customers. The result is a more reliable and long-lasting solution that reduces total cost over time, while enabling faster delivery times and greater consistency. At the same time, the system contributes delivering significant CO₂ savings, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions.
