Moving efficiency to a new level - doing up to 100 t/h
Operating in over 300 locations throughout the UK – from household waste recycling centres, transfer stations and landfills to secure shredding facilities, Sita provides an extensive range of managed services. The Transport Avenue Waste Transfer Station in Brentford, run by Sita, is one of the largest municipal waste treatment stations in West London. Part of the overall waste strategy for London, the station is set on increasing recycling rates up to 50% on an annual basis.
Efficient and reliable shredding is a necessary element of this process. But for Sita efficiency is also strongly associated with onsite mobility. It is also the reason why Sita chose Metso’s mobile M&J PreShred 4000 that comes in a new and improved crawler version.
Enhanced Mobility = Enhanced Value
“Pre-shredders with high capacity and high mobility are instrumental for us in order to keep up performance and reduce running costs at the station. With M&J PreShred 4000 Mobile from M&J we have a shredder that is very easy to operate, not only because of the crawler technology, but also because of its limited height and innovative features like tailor-made touch-screen display", says managing director from Sita, Tom Jones.
“Furthermore, we know that shredders from M&J are extremely reliable and capable of shredding virtually any type of material due to their aggressive knife design. With the investment in the three mobile M&J PreShred 4000 we are certain of trouble-free handling and a continuous high quality output – and the service we receive from Metso just adds further value”, ends a pleased managing director, Tom Jones.
