Up to 50% increased capacity in less time
As many other major cities in Asia, Mokpo City in South Korea focuses on reducing and exploiting the city’s comprehensive waste. The city has therefore invested in a modern plant that can turn the waste into pellets to be used as energy in the industry (MSW / SRF).
However, there was a big problem. The solution with the bag splitter was not working properly - there were too many stops and the output did not live up to expectations. After numerous failed attempts to make the system work, it was finally decided to get professional help.
They consulted a distributor, who specialised in solutions for ”The Sustainable Society”. The company had already delivered the dryer and the pelletizer systems to Mokpo City plant and they worked impeccably.
Various solutions were tested and Mokpo City ended up being recommended an M&J PreShred 4000S with 10 knives. This solution made all the difference. Today the plant has easy and full load feeding to the M&J pre-shredder, continuous output and easy maintenance.
“It’s been a great success with the M&J shredder. The treatment capacity has increased by 30-50 percent even though the pre-shredder is only operating with the rate of 60 percent.”
