Historical Milestones
From industrial revolution to green transformation
Our history goes back to 1857, when merchant Johan P. Møller and blacksmith Søren Jochumsen established Møller & Jochumsen A/S. At first they manufactured steam engines for the Danish industry and some years later also diesel engines.
Since 1988 our only focus has been to develop and manufacture industry leading waste shredders for the global waste recycling industry.

1857: Starts production of steam engines boosting the 'Industrial Revolution' in Denmark. This one is from 1872 made for a steam ship.
1910: Starts production of diesel engines replacing the steam engines. This one is from 1912 and delivered to Haslev Power Plant in Denmark.
1964: Moved to our current location in Horsens, Denmark
1988: Starts production of waste shredders pioneering the 'Green Transformation' in Denmark.
2009: Acquired by Metso Group.
2021: Acquired by A. Ahlström
2022: Solid first year as stand-alone. M&J CEO, Uffe Hansen is very pleased with 2022.
