M&J Recycling was part of a royal visit to India
From 26 February to 1 March 2023, the Danish Crown Prince Couple made an official visit to India and M&J Recycling was part of the Danish business delegation joining them.
Under the headline “Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress”, a Danish business delegation met with Indian government representatives and business leaders to promote export opportunities for Danish companies in the country and strengthen the green strategic partnership between Denmark and India.
The main focus of the visit was a green transition with a special focus on energy and water. As part of this, our CEO Uffe Hansen, our Commercial Director Morten Kiil Rasmussen, and our Market Area Head APAC Lars Holm Laursen were there to highlight how industrial waste shredders can contribute to a green and sustainable development in India.
The delegation took part in panel discussions, seminars, and company visits, along with esteemed Indian government representatives and business leaders, to promote cooperation between Indian and Danish businesses.
On the second day, the attending companies were given an opportunity to present their business to the Crown Prince Couple. The M&J delegation had the privilege of presenting to HRH the Crown Princess, along with one of our Indian customers:
“She reacted very positively to the fact that our customer could explain what we do, and that from an environmental, social, and economic point of view, there are a lot of trends pointing in the direction of our technology. It solves problems right now, not in the future”,
- says Uffe Hansen and continues:
“It was a great honour to meet the Royal Couple, and the fact that they make a visit like this is of great importance. It attracts a lot of attention to the crucial issue of sustainable development, and it sends a strong signal about the great potential of the green strategic partnership between India and Denmark”.
The Danish delegation
In addition to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess, the Danish delegation will consist of Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Lykke Rasmussen, the Minister of Environment Magnus Heunicke, and the Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard as well as representatives from M&J Recycling and 35 other Danish companies.
M&J will be represented by CEO Uffe Hansen, Commercial Director Morten Kiil Rasmussen and Market Area Head APAC Lars Holm Laursen.
