Reducing 40 tons an hour of bulky waste in second to none quality
The Hérault department in France is falling short in terms of waste management capabilities. To remedy this situation, the department has invested in Valorsys – a completely new site with recycling plant and non-hazardous landfilling. The goal is to have Valorsys processing 97.000 tons of OIW and bulky waste each year.
The unique aspect of the non-hazardous landfill is that it can only take waste in wrapped bales. This mode of operation has been chosen because local weather condition otherwise could disperse the waste. Coved, the global French waste management expert, are currently finalizing operations and ensuring that processing is up to maximum speed. For shredding of the non-recoverable OIW and bulky waste Coved chose the M&J PreShred 4000S from M&J Recycling.
Maxium speed = Maximum reliability
The M&J PreShred 4000S for operations at Valorsys comes with 8 rotating knives that reduces the waste into a preferred size of 0-400 mm. With a rate of approximately 40 tons an hour the M&J PreShred 4000S steadily serves a magnetic over band before the waste is sent to the ram baler.
The heart of the shredder is the robust and aggressive knife-system. Operating at variable speed and shredding asynchronously in both directions, it ensures maximum reliability and maximum speed. There is great satisfaction both at Coved and Valorsys with the choice of M&J PreShred 4000S. Shredding is an important part of the initial waste processing and bottlenecks can quickly become a problem. So far the M&J PreShred 4000S lives up to every expectation and delivers high performance, high quality and the requested ease of maintenance.
